As a proud supporter and charity partner of Autism Ireland, we are delighted to announce that on Saturday 18th November, €2 from each entry will be donated to Autism Ireland as part of our ‘Autism Awareness Day’. Entry on the day will be €14 per person.
To support and raise awareness for Autism Ireland, we will be creating an autism friendly environment in the park on November 18th with the intention of allowing parents of children with autism and their children to enjoy our facilities. On the day there will be no music played throughout the park and queues will be kept to a minimum. Guests will be greeted by our staff dressed in the charities branded t-shirts and we will have collections throughout the day to raise much needed funds for Autism Ireland.
TheAutism Ireland team will be at Tayto Park to assist with all activities throughout the day as well as answering any questions or queries that you might have. In preparation for this Tayto Park staff will be taking part in annual Autism Awareness training with Autism Ireland.
To help parents attending on the day, we have worked with Autism Ireland to create a social story (a visual guide describing the various social interactions, situations, behaviours and skills that they may encounter on the day) which will detail all attractions open on the day and support children with autism better cope with this social situation.
