Niall Murphy – Acting Head of Operations

Autism is very close to my heart as I have a son, Ryan, with autism. As a parent, I understand and appreciate the many concerns that parents have. In my role with Irish Autism Action, I co-ordinate our information and support line, provide individual advocacy support to families where necessary and link in with our behavioural support co-ordinator.  I also assist on delivery of autism awareness and friendly training and manage our corporate and donor support.  Most recently, we produced our 5 point vision plan from 2017 – 2020 which outlines our plans and vision for the future, which is designed to help and support the 300,000 people in Ireland living with autism.   For information, advice, support or fundraising queries – You can contact me by e-mail niall@autismireland.ie

Shannon Eidman, M.Ed., BCBA

After having trained and worked for more than 10 years in the United States, I made the big move here to Ireland in 2008 to establish a specialized school for children with autism. I then joined Irish Autism Action as one of the Community Outreach Coordinators in 2011. In this role, I provide training and behavioural consultation to families and schools all throughout Ireland. It can be a very busy and challenging role, but well worth it to see how family’s lives can be transformed with the proper supports.
