Compliance.
The Governance Code was launched in June 2012. Irish Autism Action is on the ‘Register of Compliance‘ as the organisation has implemented all aspects of the code. There is also an ‘Organisations on the journey to adoption‘ list for those organisations working towards full compliance.
Irish Autism Action welcomes the implementation of the Charities Act 2009 and the appointment of a Charities Regulator, mechanisms for accountability and clarity for the public. IAA has been involved in the consultation process for implementation of the act. Charities Act 2009 factsheet here.
